Hi there! I’m Kate. I’m glad you stopped by.
Oh, you're looking to learn a little something about me…okay then.
Well, first off, I come from a long line of creative souls. For generations, my family has been creating things. Naturally, creativity was going to find a place in my heart. The form it took just so happens to be quilting.
Armed with the sewing machine my husband had purchased for me years earlier as a Christmas gift, I decided to make our first child a quilt. Well, I completed the quilt top but it soon found itself buried in a box in a closet for 6 years. I was scared. I was convinced I was going to mess it up. I had no idea how to quilt it or bind it and didn’t think I could afford to send it to a longarm quilter. I’ve learned a lot since then and I am excited to share my knowledge and pattern designs with you!
For generations, my family has decided to call Maine home. This is why my patterns are named after places in Maine. I love the connection I have to this beautiful state and want to share these special places and connections with you. Lastly, because Mainer’s are known for their resourcefulness, my patterns are designed to be used with stash, scraps, precuts and/or yardage. I hope you find my patterns to be helpful in using up whatever you have in your sewing space!
